4-part Ukulele Workshop Series

In this workshop you will learn the beauty and fun of playing a chord melody on the Ukulele. The concept of what a chord melody is, with techniques of how to create a Ukulele chord melody from a song, plus chord melody pieces will be presented for you to learn to play! An ideal way to really enjoy playing your Ukulele by your self and feel like there are two people playing!

Date: Fridays Octorber 13th, 20th, 27th, and November 3rd 2023

Time: Fridays 6.00pm – 7.30pm (PDT, Vancouver)

Cost: $125

Place: On-line in the Ruby’s Ukes Ukulele Zoom Room

This workshop will be presented on-line, and interactive in the Ruby's Ukes Ukulele Zoom Room, an experience where everyone gets a front seat, including chart screen sharing and downloadable handouts. Easy to follow zoom instructions sent out in advance make this an enjoyable, fun way to improve your uke skills!

Workshop cost includes: extensive on-line class materials page and audio samples.

Level: ‘Beginner – get playing’, ‘Intermediate – really get playing’ and ‘advanced: time to shine’ Sorry not suitable for absolute beginners, you’ll get here one day!

The classes are a weekly 90 minute session and will leave you smiling and a whole lot smarter. The perfect way to keep inspired and have an appointment to play music and sing each week. These classes are all 13 yrs+, and are like a real, live, class with one student attending per registration creating an authentic individual connection with the teacher as well as the class. For your sense of comfort and relaxation, these classes will not be recorded so you can kick back and just enjoy being in class!

Eduardo Garcia the newest member of the Ruby’s Ukes teaching faculty, originally from Mexico, Eduardo has quickly become a Vancouver Ukulele staple. Being both classically and traditionally trained, he was active in a wide diversity of music projects in Mexico, teaching, performing and writing music. Eduardo also played the cello and arranged for the ‘Victor Manuel Medeles’ chamber orchestra. He was the founder/director of the Academia de Ukuleles de la Ribera (Lakeside Ukulele Academy. Eduardo brings a gentle, unassuming, classical approach to music and the ukulele, an instrument now very close to his heart. Now he loving the genre of chord melody playing on the ukulele!
